About Race Karts! Inc.
Hello and welcome to Race Karts! Inc.
Whether you’re seeking a professional auto racing career, wanting to try your hand at racing karts, or just thinking about a new hobby that offers the adrenaline rush you’re looking for, Race Karts! Inc. has it all!
We offer everything from one day karting programs with the use of our racing karts to ongoing Driver Development Management for drivers who wish to become successful in their racing efforts.
To make the most out of your karting program, our seasoned instructors will provide you with high quality, individualized instruction along with maximum “seat time”.
At Race Karts! Inc. our focus is on safety and quality of the programs we provide, which means our classes have fewer students in a class rather than the maximum allowed. This gives you more “running room” on the track and the ability to have more time working closely with our instructors.
We’re here to help you accelerate your learning curve in an environment that’s safe and fun for you, your family, friends and co-workers.
Race Karts! Inc. is here to help the newest of newbies who have never driven a race kart before, to even the most seasoned racers. As some may know, there’s always more you can learn when it comes to racing and we will help you improve every step of the way, and at a pace that you are comfortable with, and always with quick progress in mind.
Founder and President Lisa Caceres has been conducting karting programs and events since 1992. Her passion for karting and auto racing is as strong today as it was when she first started in karting back in 1986! In fact, she continues to drive karts as often as possible, she oversees every kart school, and most of all really enjoys getting to know each student with the goal of exceeding their expectations.
Many RKI grads will tell you Lisa doesn’t stop there. She not only follows up with all of her students after their programs, but she also follows through with helping her students take the next step. This means everything from determining the right advanced training best suited for them, helping find the right kart and motor package to purchase and karting equipment needed, as well as determining the best kart club to join based on location, and services provided.
Furthermore, if you’re planning on kart racing, we are available to help you with preparing for your first race both on and off the track. This includes race coaching ie: the art of qualifying, how to get the best race starts, passing strategies and overall racecraft. Off the track we help with prepping the kart, making adjustments to the kart for optimum handling, getting you ready mentally to be at your best for a chance at the podium!
Later, for those who want to move up the racing ranks, Lisa trains and works with teenage kart racers ages 13-20 who want to make the jump from race karts to race cars. She is National Auto Sports Association (NASA) Northern California Series Leader for Teen Mazda Challenge (TMC), a racing series that races with Spec Miata against as many as 45+ racers in each race at Sonoma Raceway (starting age 14) and Thunderhill Raceway. Her guidance has helped several young racers successfully accomplish their first years in auto racing.
As for her background, Lisa has been karting since 1986 and has many karting championships under her belt. She has raced at several different tracks around the U.S. competing in everything from 100cc karts to 80cc and 125cc shifter karts.
Lisa is also an accomplished professional race car driver and has raced both in closed wheel and open wheel racing including IMSA Camel GT Series, Firestone Firehawk Series, Pro SCCA Escort Endurance Series, GT America Stock Car Series, and Pro Mazda Series.
Her major sponsors were: Saleen Autosport, Lindley Racing, Ford, Montgomery Ward, General Tire, Kodak, OilChangers, and Red Line Oil to name a few.
Some of the drivers she was teamed-up with at the professional level were Desiré Wilson, Lynn St. James, Scott Pruett, Johnny O’Connell, Calvin Fish, George Folmer, Pete Halsmer, Parnelli Jones, Rick Titus, and Steve Saleen.
Lisa was an instructor for Bob Bondurant High Performance Driving School’s Ride and Drive Programs around the U.S., and also instructed for many Northern California car clubs for many years.
Lisa is also a Precision/Stunt Driver for the television and film industry and has been a member of the Screen Actor’s Guild since 1986. She drives in lots of car commercials in the Bay Area as well as nationally with car manufacturers Mercedes, Mazda, Ford, Chrysler, Buick, Nissan, Kia, Honda, Hyundai, and others.
In 2001 Lisa was hired to design (Sears Point) Sonoma Raceway’s International Karting Facility from its inception to completion, a track considered a favorite to many, and where several upper level kart races are held each year.
